Ultrasonic cavitation is a non-invasive technique used to correct excessive local fat deposits, while reshaping your body using ultrasonic (sound) waves. The ultrasonic waves disrupt and eliminate subcutaneous fat cells. After the breakdown of adipose tissue (fat cell membrane), the fat is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells, where they are enzymatically metabolized to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water-soluble glycerol travels into the circulatory system used for new energy generation, whereas the insoluble free fatty acids enter the liver where they are decomposed like any other simple fatty acid. The treatment can be applied almost anywhere but is most commonly used to treat areas such as the thighs, stomach, back and or buttocks. Generally, results are noticeably visible after 4 sessions ( 8 to 12 sessions recommended.
